Lens-Artists Challenge #285 – Warm Colors
This is my first attempt at participating in a Lens Challenge. I recognize I may be late in the game for this one, but here it is nonetheless.
This week’s #lens-artists challenge #285 Warm Colors, was presented by egidio. Thank you for the opportunity!
My first image was taken in Amsterdam at a small chapel we experienced during a walking tour. I love the feeling of calm, comfort, and reverence in the older religious houses in Europe and this photo brings me right back to those peaceful feelings.

My next photograph is of the medieval wharf of Bryggen in Bergen, Norway. I captured the image below from the window of the room we were staying in on a family trip. It was a long exposure during the quiet hours late at night.

My final entry was taken during the late summer at sunrise near Salisbury, England at Pepperbox Hill. A folly tower built in the 17th century, its function was more decorative and social as opposed to a defensive tower.

Those are my meager contributions to the challenge. I hope to participate frequently in the future. Thanks very much for reading. If you like what you see, please comment, like, and subscribe!

Please forgive me if I don’t say your name. I couldn’t find it in any of the links. I am super thrilled that my post inspired you to join this challenge. What an amazing entry this is! The opening photo in the chapel is pure warmth and beauty. You captured the colors and interior so well. I felt as if I was right there. Bergen was another gorgeous photo. The golden lights are stunning. The parting shot at sunrise highlighted the beautiful warmth when a day starts. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing gallery.
Thanks Egidio! My name is Patrick but I typically just post using my Photography moniker. 🙂
I appreciate your thoughtful comments. Your work is wonderful and I’m excited to see be a part of the photoblog community now! 🙂
Hi Patrick, Terrific trio of images. Your night shot of Bergen especially caught my eye. What a beautiful city. 🙂 Thanks for following my blog.
Thank you, Jane. 🙂
Lovely. It looks like you solved your link problem.
Solved thanks to you! Thanks for the help and kind words.
Your images are amazing !!
Many thanks, Amy!
Welcome to our challenge Patrick! Your photography is wonderful – hoping to see more of it as the weeks go by. I loved all of your choices but if forced I’d have to choose the Bergen image as my favorite. It’s perfection!! One suggestion, you will get more views if you use the Lens-Artists Tag to appear in our reader.
Tina,
Thanks very much for your kindness and taking the time to comment. I thought I tagged the post as you suggested and it shows in my post’s tag list but maybe I am missing something. I am very new to the blogging world and need all the help I can get!
I’m glad I’ve found your first Lens-Artists post, welcome. Great photos, Patrick. I’m with Tina, Bergen is also my favourite but they are all wonderful shots. Looking forward to your posts 🙂
Thanks, Sofia. Your work is wonderful!
